I read the post about the adjustable dressforms and I've never used one, and I have a hard to fit bod. Size 10 in pants and skirts and size XX in top. I am getting married again and am making my own dress because I am NOT going to spend $1,000 on a dress again just to donate it to Goodwill, I hate spending $350 for a white mother-of-the-bride dress, I want something simple and light (Sept 1st wedding in Boston so it will be hot) and I've been sewing since 7th grade!
I would gladly pay good money for someone else's castoff in order to get the bodice right, but really would hate to pay full price ($129 to $240) at Joann's or Fabric Place.
Any advice or anyone willing to give up on their dress form? I doubt I could make one out of duct tape and foam.
