I want a skort so badly. I have several bike shorts and one cotton skirt that can be used/transformed into a skort.
Any ideas?

Re: skorts- has anyone made one?
Tue, July 24, 2007 - 7:26 PMHere is how I made a skort. I had a knit mini skirt and a comfy pair of knit shorts. The shorts weren't as long as the skirt, so it was a perfect fit. Both had elastic waistbands. Without turning either piece inside out, I cut open the tube where the skirt's elastic was along the bottom seam on the inside of the skirt and removed the elastic. I then pinned that flap of fabic from the skirt over the elastic waistband of the shorts and sewed them together so the waistband of the skirt was now joined to the waistband of the shorts. Voila, a skort. By sewing the waistband of the skirt onto the waistband of the short, I eliminated any bulk. I hope this helps. Let me know if my instructions were cryptic in any way. It was a long day. :-) Tina -
